Job summary

The Construction Technician plays a vital role in assisting the smooth running of the maintenance workshop. They will undertake duties which involve the construction, preparation, demonstration, maintenance and control of tools, equipment, machines, materials and components that are used in the teaching process.

Key Responsibilities:

• General maintenance and workshop duties
• Assistant with enforcing health and safety practices with the maintenance workshop
• Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ensuring compliance on site at all times to the company health and safety standards and processes, NHBC standards, building regulations, and overall quality standards
• Reporting any activities or actions to the Site Manager that could affect health and safety, quality, customer care, or cost
• Liaising with other internal departments, externals suppliers and partners to ensure the build programme is achieved
• Helping in the monitoring of material levels on site to ensure the minimum amount of stock, but enough to ensure the site programme is met and all labour is efficiently employed.
• Ensuring that all plots are built to the highest standard of quality, and contribute to a high standard of overall presentation on site, at a minimum
• To carry out some reporting of defects on IFix.
• Showing a good behavioural example in all aspects of health and safety, organisation, conduct, quality of work, and professionalism.

Person specification (Qualifications)

• Academics certification in relevant field
• Confident communicator with a positive attitude
• Show signs of leadership and developing assertive skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks, demonstrating a good problem-solving ability
• Appetite for learning and gaining experiences in all areas of site management and customer care

Professional Certification

• CSCS advantageous but not essential as we will put you through the scheme
